1. Project Overview

Kunlun Gas Company's operating units are distributed in a wide range of areas, with a wide range of business scopes, and difficult production management. The security monitoring system of dispatching rooms at all levels is gradually being constructed. The level of self-control and the configuration of self-control equipment are not the same. There are many problems in the established security monitoring system. For example, the security monitoring system is quite different, the construction standards and functions need to be improved, and the alarm system design Unreasonable, the communication protocol between SCADA systems in dispatching rooms at all levels is a private protocol, etc. Because there is no overall guidance standard, the dispatching rooms at all levels, the system functions of each site, and the production dispatching situation are different, which brings many hidden dangers to Kunlun Gas's centralized management, scientific dispatch, and emergency repairs. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a set of unified and advanced safety monitoring system construction standards to standardize the new reconstruction and expansion of all levels of dispatching rooms and station safety monitoring systems.

The selected project is to conduct centralized monitoring of gas transmission and distribution in Hunan Province. The subordinate Hunan Transmission and Distribution Company, Changde Project Company, CNPC Yuanwang Company, Zhuzhou Company and Yueyang Company have a total of about 7,000 inspection points. With the expansion of scale, new sites that are constantly being built must also be integrated into the regional dispatch system to realize integrated dispatch.

Three, system architecture

The hardware of the monitoring system of the regional dispatching center is composed of workstations and server rooms. The workstations include 1 SCADA monitoring engineer station and 2 SCADA monitoring operator stations. The server mainly includes 2 communication servers, 2 database servers, 1 WEB server, and 1 user and authority management server. The user and authority management platform is responsible for authority verification and management of the entire process. All application software runs on the server, and the workstation installs the client of the application software. The communication server of the regional dispatching center is connected with the underlying equipment with a special petroleum network to realize data collection and issuance of planning instructions.

Four, system function

The regional dispatch center can collect the process operating parameters of remote sites in real time, realize automatic continuous monitoring, management and data statistics of the operation of the gas pipeline network and the process equipment of the stations, and provide necessary auxiliary decision-making information for safe operation.

4.1 Data collection and storage

The regional dispatching center collects and records the important monitoring parameters of each project company’s gate station, voltage regulating station, LCN station, and CNC station, mainly including electrical parameters (current, voltage, power, etc.), state parameters (each electrical switch points Close state, switch state, etc.), operating parameters (equipment running time, flow, pressure, alarm information, operator information, etc.), statistical parameters (gas consumption, electricity, etc.), etc.

The industrial real-time historical database is deployed in the regional dispatching center to store massive process data with time characteristics. The industrial real-time historical database provides more than 3 compression methods for data collection and storage, such as dead zone compression, revolving door compression, improved dead zone compression and other compression algorithms, which greatly saves hard disk controls and improves data retrieval speed.

4.2 Screen display and monitoring

SCADA monitoring system project screen includes: login screen, on-site station distribution screen, on-site station monitoring screen, alarm screen, report screen, curve screen, etc. The monitoring system mainly displays pictures with 3D-like stereoscopic effects and half-sections, and the main display data is pressure, flow, temperature and other data.

4.3 Alarms and events

Record alarm and event information, as well as all relevant data and conditions of the alarm and event, to the database for accident traceability and equipment operation analysis.

The alarm mode is reminded by sound and light alarm and mail alarm function. Alarms of different priorities can be displayed in different colors in the dialog window, and the alarm information can be sorted by priority. The alarm volume is confirmed by the dispatcher and the alarm condition disappears from the alarm list. The unconfirmed alarm will give out a special color flashing indicator. After the alarm is confirmed, it will be displayed in steady state until the alarm condition disappears.

For equipment replacement or process improvement, the alarm of any variable can be shielded, and the limit of the alarm variable can be reset.

4.4 Production Management Report

According to the historical storage data, it can generate daily, monthly, and annual reports to facilitate production management and support export and printing.

A. On-site operation reports: Automatically generate daily, monthly, and annual reports to avoid manual recording errors and improve work efficiency.

B. Management report: statistical gas transmission data report, gas usage of each branch, etc., statistics transmission difference and sorting according to transmission difference.

4.5 Trend curve display

The historical trend trend of information such as pressure, flow rate and equipment operation status of each station can be observed according to the set time interval, which provides a certain reference basis for dispatching and maintenance management. It is also possible to observe the change trend of a certain data in real time, and to add and delete curves freely in the running state for reference and comparison.

4.6 Gas supply forecast

Accurate gas load forecasting can provide a basis for gas source production plans, pipeline network maintenance plans, and transmission and distribution scheduling, improving operating efficiency, saving energy and reducing costs.

4.7 User authority management

The SCADA system has authority management methods such as priority and safety zone. Not only can realize alarm confirmation and data browsing authority verification. Once the equipment is controlled, it will detect whether the local SCADA has the control authority and verify it. If it has, it can control and record the control event. The SCADA system in other regions can browse the equipment control record information. The regional dispatch center has the function of controlling user permissions, and can log in, create, edit, delete, modify permissions, and transfer permissions for users

4.8 WEB release

The project can be released without any conversion, so that relevant personnel can conveniently view the live real-time screen through the IE browser anytime and anywhere, which expands the use range of the system and makes the system operation more flexible.
